I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in therapy for individuals and couples. I have a private practice with an office in Reston, VA.
As an interactive, solution-focused therapist, my approach is interpersonal, supportive and direct. I provide practical feedback to help my clients effectively address their personal life challenges. I integrate compatible methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Among my areas of expertise: couples counseling, stress, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, panic attacks, emotional abuse, separation, divorce, parenting and empty nest syndrome, poor communication, sexual dysfunction, substance abuse and other issues.
With over 25 years of experience as a therapist in the Washington metropolitan area, I have postgraduate training in Strategic Family Therapy, couples training in Imago Therapy and two years of training in Gestalt Therapy from the Gestalt Training Center in Washington, DC.
